We only live 1 hour from Pigeon Forge (http://www.insidepigeonforge.com) and it is the best vacation spot I know of. There is so much to do and a lot of nice places to stay. You can find whatever you want to eat and at any price. This vacation spot is attractive for people of all ages and of any income, you can do as much as you want or as little as you want, there is something for everyone. It is a great place to relax by a creek or shop at the outlet malls and even lots of intersting fun for kids of all ages. If you only get a chance to go on one vacation this year, Pigeon Forge is the place to go.

The greatest addition to Dollywood is for those with limited mobility. As soon as you get into the park you will find workers to help you sign up for their new program. They will schedule all the shows that you want to see and the times for each show. They will give you a buzzer that will notify you when it is time to go to the next show. You will not have to stand in line and they will let you in early by a side entrance and get you seated up front. It is well worth the extra cost. You will be glad that you signed up and will really be able to enjoy your the day without out being totally exausted. This is really A Super Idea!

THey also have for us older generation the ability to rent skooters. The last time I was down I Used one and could keep up with the grandkids. It was $60 and a deposit on your credit card. If it is returned there is no charges placed on the card.

It really is a great idea, but it's not just for people for limited mobility.

It's called Q2Q. It cost me $25 to get a Qbot for my family of four. It's a small device on a lanyard that allows you to pre-schedule one ride and up to two shows at a time.

We went on a crowded day in June. When we got the Qbot, I reserved the Mystery Mine. It said to be there in a few minutes. When we got there, we used the Q2Q entrance, walked past the loooong line, right to the front and boarded the ride right then. Once you are checked in, you can reserve the next ride. That's the way it worked from us all day.

Using Q2Q for shows, you are seated in the reserved section down front.

Q2Q is well worth the money!

And I mostly agree with Donna, except to say that Dollywood beats any of the parks in Orlando. Disney and Universal have great rides, don't get me wrong. But the atmosphere at Dollywood is what I appreciate most.

Does any one know if Silver Dollar City mugs are honored in Dollywood? We are planning a vacation further east to TN this year and have visit SDC in Branson many times. I understand there is some connection to Dollywood and have many mugs from SDC that allow reduced/discounted drinks. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if SDC mugs are honored or not. I would go to www.dollywood.com and ask them the same question. If you find out that they are please post it back here.
