For the Steak Lover in your family I recommend the Alamo Steak House (http://www.insidepigeonforge.com/restaurants/steak-houses/alamo-steakhouse/). All the Steaks are hand cut and aged at the restaurant. They are cooked over the Hard Wood Grill to perfection. Now many people think of Hard Wood as Hickory, sort of like in Bar-B-Que ! But the Alamo uses oak for an added flavor to your steak. All the side items are Great ( I love the Sweet Potato with butter and brown sugar) If you are going for lunch I recommend the Jim Bowie Burger or small Rib eye. For an Appetizer I like the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and the Texas Taters. But I as many times as I have eaten there I have never gotten a Bad Meal. The Price can be a little high if you have more that 3 in your party ! But it is well worth the splurge if you only have one during your stay !

I agree that Alamo is one of the best steakhouses around G-burg, my dw and I go there almost everytime we are there (twice a year). If my kids are along,
both daughters are married,we usualy take them as our treat for the week.

I haven't tried the Alamo yet. Started to go, then I saw the menu. I'm not so tight that I squeak when I walk, but it was a bit too rich for my blood! Especially for a steak. I understand it's a great steak, though!

The Alamo Steakhouse which is the owner several local awards, serves steak cooked over wood fire as you can understand by its name. However, you can also choose one of its seafood or chicken meals.

Does Craftsteak, Cut or any of the other high end steak shops serve a full menu at their bar? I travel alone and eating at the bar is nice and convenient if the place offers the menu.
