Stay Away from the Sidney James

:eek: The Sidney James motel on Airport Road is not worth your time !
My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and it was a disaster. From the Rat's in the Room was one of the main problems. Then the Toiled clogged up. I call the front desk and asked them to send some one up. I was told everyone was gone home , but I could come and pick up the plunger if I wanted to :mad: ! What choice did I have ! Then we ran out of Towels and call the Front desk again. Sorry Laundry has gone home for the day. We only have a few towels per room I was told. After our Whirlpool malfunctioned and almost flooded the room I had just had enough. I Went to check out with my wife in tow. I asked to speak to the manager. Wanted to get my money back I was told that I did not cancel my reservation in time and would have to pay Full Price. But being the Nice guy he was he gave my wife and I a card for 5% off our next stay . :confused: Did he really think we were coming back. Don't even stop here ! You'll be glad you didnt !

I would have to agree with you on this one. We just got back from Gatlinburg and we stayed here because they had a special for a free night. The box springs to our bed was broken into and only held up with the frame. There was a hole in our ceiling. Chairs were filthy, and the fridge froze everything we put in there. The sliding doors to the balcony had no lock on it, so I was terrified one of my kids would get up at night and wonder out there, being on the 4th floor would be quite a fall. Not to mention the TV that was straight from the 60's. Being the nice person I am, I didn't complain. We just avoided our room like the plague. Only slept there, and that was on our own sheets!!

Thanks for the warning, we were actually looking at staying there. You saved me a unpleasant trip, because, even though I am also nice, I will complain after a certain point. My husband hates when I do that!:mad: So, I guess I will find another place to stay:confused:
