You can register for these quilting classes online at the Mountain Quiltfest website. Classes are first come, first served when it comes to registration, and may fill up quickly! Some entry fees are charged for courses as well, and range from $20-$60, depending on the materials supplied by the instructor. However, it’s worth it when you think about how much you’ll learn.

Learn about everything from designing a quilt to fixing an antique, and get tips on different classic quilt types, as well as table runners and more. Classes start on March 13th, so you may need to get there early. Take a free trolley ride between class sites so you know you’ll be on time.

In addition to classes, quilters will be able to enter their own works in the Smoky Mountain Quiltfest Quilt Show. It doesn’t matter how experienced you are or how fancy or simple your quilt is – you can enter. The only limit is that each person may enter no more than three pieces.

  1. I plan to visit Pigeon Forge in March 2010. I understand there will be a quiltfest sometime around the middle of March. I went online but all the dates were for 2009. Could you please tell me the dates of the quiltfest? Thank you.

  2. today is feb 24, 2010 and i google searched the internet to find the date for the march quilt show and all of the dates give march 11-15 2009 what is the right date for the show. I see where one other lady found the same problem.

  3. Classes begin Tuesday, March 9, 2010 and Quiltfest begins Wednesday, March 10, 2010 and goes through Sunday, March 14, 2010. We will be updating our entry about it today.

  4. I am interested in information about being a vendor at your next quilt show. I have a quilt shop in Wilmington, Ohio and main focus at shows is fat quarters, kits, patterns and books with in-booth demonstrations with various templates and rulers.
